‘Khaleesi’ in Unreal Engine 4 Looks Awfully Real
The 3D artist, Baolong Zhang, has recently showed us what it would be like having HBO’s groundbreaking TV show, Game of Thrones, in Unreal Engine 4. The developer has posted a video on YouTube featuring a model of Daenerys Targaryen, also known as ‘Khaleesi’, created in the realistic graphics engine from Epic Games.
The character appears really impressive in real-time as it is enriched with details of the face, skin and eyes, besides the quality graphics.
In fact, there are only a few angles that let us see that it is a virtual reproduction, otherwise one might believe the video to be featuring the real Danny, portrayed by English actress Emilia Clarke in the series.
More information on Zhang’s work is available on his own website, which can be viewed here.
‘Khaleesi’ also made an appearance in Telltale’s Game of Thrones game series. The episodic game inspired by the HBO’s series brings another side of the story, along with the universe created by the books.
The sixth episode of Telltale Game of Thrones will be released on November 17 on all platforms.
