Fallout 4 patch 1.4

It should be no surprise to gamers really, but Fallout 4 has had a very successful release. For those wondering how well it went on the PC, the numbers have been revealed and sales appear to have went well.

Based on Stats on the Steam Spy site, the PC version sold around 1.2 million copies within the first 24 hours of its release on Steam.

As well as providing the sales information, Steam Spy was also able to provide details on how well it faired with people who already owned the previous games:

Looking at these retults it’s interesting to see that the owners of the first games had the highest conversion rate then came Fallout 3 owners, New Vegas then Skyrim. It should be noted that these are people who owned these games on Steam. It still makes for interesting reading though.

Looking at Steam Spy right now Fallout 4 sits at the top of the trending games list and will probably remain there for quite some time. Whether it has lived up to the hype that built up around it though is a different matter.

Are you impressed by Fallout 4’s success? Did it live up to the hype for you? Let us know your thoughts below.
