It was expected although Blizzard never confirmed that Overwatch was also being developed for the consoles. However, you don’t need to fret on that anymore; the game is indeed coming to PS4 and Xbox One alongside the PC version!

This came out through a new listing of the Overwatch Origins Edition on GAME where the artwork clearly states that the game version is for all the aforementioned platforms. And since everyone had already found out, Blizzard also went on to confirm it on their official website.

Sadly, the Origins Edition did not come with a price, but we have gotten more out of it than expected. Here are the contents of the special edition:

  • 21 Heroes
  • 5 skins: Blackwatch Reyes (Reaper), Strike-Commander Morrison (Soldier: 76), Overgrown Bastion, Security Chief Pharah, Slipstream Tracer
  • Overwatch-themed content for several Blizzard Entertainment games:
  • Heroes of the Storm – Tracer Hero
  • World of Warcraft – Baby Winston Pet
  • StarCraft II Portraits
  • Hearthstone Cardback
  • Diablo III – Mercy Wings

Getting to know that the title is coming to PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One gives a whole new projection to the title’s expanse.

Last, but the most important part of new was the release date of Overwatch. Developers have also confirmed that the game is going to hit the racks “on or before” June 21, 2016.
