Fallout C.H.A.T App Release for Some Fallout 4 Gif and Emoji Fun

Fallout 4 is a week away and the hype for the release is huge right now. What also appears to be big is the list of merchandise and tie-ins connected to the game.

One of these is the new Android and iOS app Fallout C.H.A.T release by Bethesda. Amusingly this is said to be “Vault-Tec approved communication” but I’m not sure you’ll see many phones around the Fallout 4 wastelands that let players send emojis and gif animations to each other.

Here is the official description of the app:

“Jazz up your boring old messages with the official Vault-Tec Communications Hub and Transmitter – that’s C.H.A.T. to you. Bring Fallout flavor to your messages with our fully customized keyboard, including text styles, over 60 emoji and animated Vault Boy GIFs. So warm up your tapping fingers and show that you’re the ultimate Fallout fan with C.H.A.T. today!

Spice things up with over 60 Fallout emoji.

While the app may be fun for a while it will no doubt be forgotten about when Fallout 4 comes out and people are too busy playing. That is if people actually buy into using the messenger at all, at least it is free and harmless. With the deluge of merchandise around the game at the moment, a free app is hardly something to complain about.

What do you think of the C.H.A.T App? Is it something worth having a look at or is it a gimmick gone a little too far? Let us know your thoughts below.
