Guillermo del Toro Talks About Working With Famed Hideo Kojima
The reveal of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro’s joint venture into the gaming world in the form of Silent Hills took the world by storm.
When Konami cancelled the project earlier this year, fans were enraged, cursing Konami and even going as far as vowing to never play a Konami game ever again!
In a recent interview with IGN; Guillermo del Toro, the famed Hollywood director known for not only horror movies, but also hits like Pacific Rim, talked about the cancelled project and how the three main people behind the project: del Toro himself, Hideo Kojima and artist Junji Ito were looking to blow everyone’s mind and scare everyone to their wits end.
He also talked about his experience of working with Kojima and how he considers it an honor to have worked with him and considers him a great friend. Whether they get to work together in the future or not, del Toro considers Kojima a true pioneer and a teacher who has so much to teach the famed director.
Even after the cancellation of Silent Hills, fans were hoping that Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima would work something out and manage to create the game but that however doesn’t seem to be a possibility now.
