Xbox One Backwards Compatibility and NXOE to Roll Out on November 12

We have some great news for users of Xbox One, according to Microsoft, the awaited Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature will start rolling out next month on November 12.

Users will be able to play some of the most popular Xbox 360 games on Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Some of the games that will appear at launch are listed below:

  • A Kingdom for Keflings
  • A World of Keflings
  • Alien Hominid HD
  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • BattleBlock Theater
  • Defense Grid
  • Gears of War
  • Gears of War 2*
  • Gears of War 3*
  • Gears of War: Judgement*
  • Geometry Wars Evolved
  • Hexic HD

In addition Backwards Compatibility, the New Xbox One Experience will also be rolling out. The update will make changes to the dashboard, we’ll also be seeing a social-friendly Community section. New Xbox One Experience is powered by Windows 10 and according to Microsoft, this will let users access features up to 50% faster.

However, the update caused some issues with games and apps while it was in beta for the preview members, but hopefully all the issues are now sorted out.
