Pre-Order Fallout 4 on Steam and Get an Exclusive Dota 2 Announcer Pack
Fallout 4 is only weeks away, and if you’ve pre-ordered the game on Steam you’ll notice that there aren’t many incentives given with the release. This has changed today, but if you are not a Dota 2 fan, it probably won’t interest you.
For those of you who are interested Steam have today announced that if you pre-order Fallout 4 you’ll also receive a special Dota 2 Announcer Pack which features Mister Handy:
“Purchase Fallout 4 on Steam and get the exclusive Fallout 4 Announcer Pack for Dota 2, starring Mister Handy.*
The Dota 2 Fallout 4 Announcer Pack will replace the Default announcer and Mega-Kills announcer with the voice of everyone’s favorite robotic butler, Mister Handy.
*The Fallout 4 Announcer Pack is expected to be available in Dota 2 by mid-November. Limited Time offer.”
Players of Dota 2 will know that Announcer Packs can be purchased and replace all lines in the game, except for killing spree lines. These are often more special than the default packs because they feature more spoken lines than the default pack which is normally used within the game.
Mister Handy is one of the companions featured in Fallout 4 and was first seen in the trailer awaiting the return of you and your family after the apocalyptic destruction of your home. Left behind while your family sought the safety of the Vault, it will be interesting to see if time has had any effect on his programming.
We’ll have to see what he’ll bring to Dota 2 when the Announcer Pack is unlocked, but I’m sure he’ll be an interesting addition as an announcer in the game.
What are your thoughts on a Dota 2 Announcer Pack as an incentive to pre-order Fallout 4? Is it a nice gift, or will it be useless to you? Let us know below.
