New Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Trailer Focuses on Weaponry

By   /   Oct 22, 2015

Square Enix today released a new trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided which focuses on weaponry. Showing the combinations of augmentations and weapons available to Adam Jensen we see plenty of destruction.

As well as the new weapons on show we also get a hint at the way the world has changed for Jensen, with the split society of augmented individuals and the rest of society. There is a definite feeling of a two-tier system in place where the augmented are outcasts looking for equality.

With the shambolic handling of the pre-order incentives damaging the games release somewhat, it’s nice to get things on track and focus on what is more important, and that is gameplay. What better way to do this than to bring out the guns and get shooting at things?

There is a definite Blade Runner feel to some of the scenes on show in the new trailer, and we even get to see some gameplay as Jensen takes on enemies in the streets. With impressive animation showing how some of the weapons and augmentation look there is defiantly a feel of future technology. The weapons on show include Titan Shield, gun-arm augmentations, the Nanoblade, and PEPS.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming in February 2016 so we are still some time away from the release. We’ll no doubt get to see even more footage of the game before then. What will be interesting will be if we see more storyline from the game, and some more information about just what Adam Jensen’s task will be in the game.
