Sword Coast Legends Errors, Crashes, FPS, Black Screen, Performance and Fixes

How to fix Sword Coast Legends Errors, Crashes, FPS, Black Screen, Performance and other related issues.

Sword Coast Legends might not be a massive title but fans of Dungeons and Dragons series must be eager to get their hands on it. It’s a classic dungeon crawler with heavy emphasis on co-op. So yes, playing it with friends is going to be a lot of fun.

The game has just got unlocked on Steam. Overall, it’s a solid product but there are some minor issues needed to be addressed. We have shortlisted the common issues for you with the possible solution and workarounds for troubleshooting purpose.

#1 Sword Coast Legends Low FPS/Performance With GSync Monitor
You just need to disable Windowed-Gsync and you should be able to achieve the normal/acceptable performance.

#2 Sword Coast Legends – Black Screen Fix
First thing you need to make sure is that your GPU drivers are up to date. If that’s not the issue, and you get black screen during the gameplay not after launch, you should try verifying your game files.

Also, you can try changing the refresh rate of your screen/monitor to 60hz as black screen sometimes can also happen due to refresh rate and resolution difference.

Also see if you are able to run the game in windowed mode. If it’s running normally in windowed mode than the issue most probably is related to your resolution or refresh rate.

#3 Sword Coast Legends Full Screen Issue
If you are palying on a multiscreen setup, chances are that your full screen option may not work properly, in that case, you should try using Alt+enter to get the full screen. If it doesn’t work for the first time, try Alt+tab first and then Alt+Enter.

#4 Sword Coast Legends Account Required to Play
Even if you want to play offline solo, you will have register your account first. Afterwards, you can make your Steam offline or disconnect the internet but the account is necessary.

#5 Sword Coast Legends Install Issue
If your game isn’t being downloaded completely and the client just keeps on checking the files and doesn’t launch, you should try changing the language from Steam preferences to English. You can switch back to something different once the game is downloaded completely.

As for the early access users, they too will have to re-download it all over but their data will remain intact.
