It Looks Like Battle.Net is Getting Voice Chat, References to Vivox Found

By   /   1 year ago

Users have been requesting voice chat for a while and it looks like it might finally be happening for Battle.Net. Dataminers have found references to Vivox in an upcoming Battle.Net client build.

For those who don’t know, Vivox produces voice chats for video games. It is currently being used on games like Eve, World of Tanks, The Elder Scrolls Online, H1Z1, Star Trek Online, Second Life and more.

Keep in mind that this isn’t a confirmation by any means, and even if Blizzard is planning such a feature it may never make it to the final build of the client.

We’ll have more for you as soon as the story further develops. Check back for updates.

In other news, World of Warcraft received a hotfix 6.2.2a. Changelog is posted below:

Creatures and NPCs

  • Fixed an issue that could occur with Arachnis where players were unable to loot multiple items.

  • What A Strange, Interdimensional Trip It’s Been: Fixed an issue where Spooky Pepe found during the Hallow’s End event was not contributing credit towards completing this achievement.
