One of the most loved professional DOTA 2 team Natus Vincere, better known as Na’Vi, is no more.

The news comes after the team’s subpar performance in The International 2015 and Frankfurt Major qualifiers.

Confirming the news, Na’Vi’s COO Igor Syndorenko said this in an official statement:

After the protracted series of failures of our team, we have to take measures and with hard feelings fully disband the squad. On behalf of all the fans and Na`Vi staff I express gratitude to the guys for their work and emotions, which they’ve granted to us all the time. However, sooner or later, the time of old heroes passes. The fate gives us new challenges, which we need to accept and prove that Na`Vi is a team of champions.

Despite some flaws in recent plays, Na’Vi remains one of the most popular eSports teams with players like Dedni, Puppey, and Arteezy.

Dendi is widely considered as a DOTA 2 icon and the most entertaining player in the history of professional eSports gaming.

In addition to this, Na’Vi won the first-ever International and were runners up in both 2012 and 2013 International(s).

The current squad comprising of Dendi, XBOCT, Funn1k, SoNNeiko, and PSM will forever be remembered as one of the best DOTA 2 teams ever!

Farewell Natus Vincere!
