GeForce Experience Beta Update Adds 4K Streaming
If you’ve been trying out the GeForce Experience Beta a new update today is bringing some interesting improvements. Not only is the GeForce Experience looking to improve game performance, but it is looking to improve sharing gameplay to other players.
In the latest update for the Geforce Experience Beta, Nvidia have added some interesting updates to the application:
- GameStream 4K – Play your PC games on your TV, now at 4K. Harness the power of GeForce GTX graphics cards to cast your games from your PC to your SHIELD TV, at 4K 60 frames per second with 5.1 surround sound.
- YouTube Live – Broadcast on YouTube Live’s new gaming channel at up to 1080p 60 fps with a click of a button in the new Share in-game overlay
- Twitch Streaming – We’ve increased the maximum broadcast resolution to Twitch from 720p/60 to 1080p/60.
- Game Ready Drivers – Automatic access to Game Ready Drivers, which provide you with the ultimate gaming experience for the latest new titles. The next time you download a driver, enter a verified email address at the prompt to get first access to Game Ready Drivers, news and announcements, and prizes and game codes.
As long as you have the hardware that can handle the 4K GameStream this sounds like an interesting feature. No doubt it will take a hefty rig though with plenty of power to be able to stream anything at that quality.
For any gamer looking to share their gaming streaming is a must so improving YouTube and Twitch streaming comes as no surprise. When there are other choices for streaming software, Nvidia will have to work hard to get streamers to use their services instead.
