Metal Gear Online PC Beta

Metal Gear Online level up fast tips to help you farm XP to rank up quickly in the MGSV: Phantom Pain multiplayer.

The online component of ‘MGS: The Phantom Pain’ is now available on consoles which lets you create your own online character and participate in a variety of game modes.

Metal Gear Online Level Up Fast Tips

In this guide, I have provided an overview of different things that you can do to level up your character fast and gain access to a range of equipment and customization options.

Important: This is not necessarily an XP farming guide and you should not expect to hit the level cap after a couple of minutes of playing. The methods require grinding, but you will surely level up fast.

Another thing to bear in mind is that the methods may eventually get patched since Konami is actively rolling out updates for Metal Gear Online.

Cloak and Dagger Defender Method
Requirements: An Online Friend

For this method, you need to create a new game and choose the following settings:

  • Maps: Any
  • Time of the Day: Any
  • Mission: Cloak and Dagger
  • Time Limit: 30 Minutes
  • Unique Character: Off

As soon as the game begins, you need to tell your online friend to wait for you at the spawn point so you can get to him quickly.

In case you are playing the ‘Defender’, you need to reach your friend and grab him/her and carry out an interrogation which will grant you with 500 XP.

However, note that you cannot carry out interrogations back and back and must wait for a couple of seconds between them. Therefore, it’s a good idea to take turns which should benefit both the friends.

In this way, both of you should be able to earn thousands of XP in no time. Moreover, you should not select Unique Character such as Snake or Ocelot and choose the one which you need to level up.

Cloak and Dagger Attacker Method
Requirements: An Online Friend

For this method, you need to create a new game and choose the following settings:

  • Maps: Any
  • Time of the Day: Any
  • Mission: Cloak and Dagger
  • Time Limit: 30 Minutes
  • Unique Character: Off

This method is for the round in which you are an ‘Attacker’. For this method, you need to rush towards the first disc and capture it to score 500 XP and quickly drop it.

Since there is a gap of 5-10 seconds before a disc is respawned, you need to rush towards the second disc and collect it during which the first should have respawned.

You need to keep on running between the discs and collect them in order to gain extra points. By the end of the round, you need to take the discs back to the station which will grant your character with 1,000 XP.

Bounty Hunter Method
For this method, you need to set the time limit to 30 minutes and set the number of tickets to maximum.

Once the settings are done, you need to rush to your friend’s spawn point and continue to kill him until all the tickets are consumed and you are awarded with about 20,000 XP.

With all the tickets depleted, your friend needs to Fulton extract you which will let him acquire a major chunk of XP. In this way, you both will be able to rank up really fast. Surely, you may get bored eventually, but if you want to power level, this method may help you out!
