The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Launch Trailer Focuses on the Story
There is a lot of anticipation as to what Hearts of Stone will bring to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and a new trailer today will just add to that. Revealing more of the story we are introduced to the immortal Olgierd von Everec.
Having a decapitated man still talking, then placing his head back on his shoulders is somewhat of an interesting introduction for a character, but this is what we see in the new trailer. We also get to see other clips from the game, as well as being given a hint as to what to expect.
With a heist style scenario in place, it will be interesting to see what these 10 hours of gameplay will provide us with, and if this first piece of paid content will feel like a substantial piece of extra content for the game. While the trailer does seem to hint that this is the case, it won’t be until we finally get to play Hearts of Stone before we can really feel just what it is bringing to the game.
With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looking to be one of the games of the year, Hearts of Stone will likely be a chance to remind players just how good it is. With most people seemingly deciding that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is the game of the year, could the newly revealed microtransactions for Konami’s game start to change people’s minds? I’m sure if Hearts of Stone delivers where it matters, voting could still change and The Witcher 3 could end up on top.
Launching October 13, that means that the DLC is just a week away the update promises over 10 hours of adventure, new enemies, new romantic encounters (with returning character) and additional items and skills to obtain.
