Star Wars Battlefront Graphics Options Revealed
With the upcoming beta test for Star Wars Battlefront coming, PC owners will be interested in graphics options for the game. Now that some journalists have been able to give the game a try, they’ve also been able to take a look at some of the options.
PC Gamer were able to take a look at the graphics options and revealed what they had seen:
- Fullscreen Monitor
- Fullscreen Resolution
- Fullscreen Mode
- Fullscreen Refresh Rate
- Vertical Sync – on/off
- Resolution Scale
- FOV Slider
- Motion Blur Amount
They noted for the demo they were able to try; the options below were set to ultra:
- Graphics Quality
- Texture Quality
- Lighting Quality
- Shadow Quality
- Effects Quality
- Post Process Quality
- Mesh Quality
- Terrain Quality
- Terrain Groundcover
- Anti-aliasing: FXAA High for the demo
- Ambient Occlusion
All of these options seem fairly standard, but it should give PC gamers some comfort at least that the options are there. As to what “Terrain Groundcover” is, all we can guess is that it is the actual level of detail on the foliage in areas that have jungle like areas. An ice world like Hoth for example really won’t bring in the need for this.
With Star Wars Battlefront coming November 17 there will be a lot of scrutiny on how it performs on the PC, especially with some of the high profile failures as of late. November is set to be a big month for games, especially with the release of Fallout 4 so the upcoming Battlefront Beta will be important to catch fans attention now. If the game failed to deliver, gamers may decide to pay more attention to the other big releases coming soon.
