Street Fighter 5 Next Beta Will Support Cross-Platform Play

Capcom has revealed that the next beta for Street Fighter 5 will allow cross-platform fighting between the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

Capcom has revealed that the next beta for Street Fighter 5 will allow cross-platform fighting between the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

The announcement comes on their official blog, in which they also revealed the specifications for the PC version of the game to prepare PC gamers for the beta.

It was already known previously that Street Fighter 5 will fully support cross-platform fighting, as announced back in December of 2014.

The previous few betas for Street Fighter 5 have been for the PlayStation 4 exclusively, and this is the first time that a beta will be launched for both platforms. The previous beta had a rocky start, forcing Capcom to shut it down prematurely and apologize for log-in issues.

Capcom had also earlier revealed that Street Fighter 5 will have no on-disc DLC associated with the game. This decision was likely made in response to the fans’ displeasures of using locked DLCs on the disc in Street Fighter x Tekken.

Street Fighter 5 will be released for PlayStation 4 and PC. The fighting game is expected to go on sale in March 2016.
