P.T. Like Allison Road Starts Kickstarter Campaign
With the release of games like Layers of Fear there are a growing number of new future releases that could be called P.T. like, taking inspiration from the Silent Hills teaser. One of these is Allison Road, which today revealed a Kickstarter campaign to help complete development.
Watching the prototype gameplay video you can tell that Allison Road does have the feel of being the spiritual successor to P.T. and it will definitely catch attention of gamers because of this fact. Now that Silent Hills is dead, this may be the only way to be able to enjoy scares similar to those found in Hideo Kojima’s piece of horror adventure.
Developed by UK studio Lilith, the game had a very impressive response on the Steam Greenlight system which asks the Steam community if they want to see the game for sale. With the answer obviously yes, now they have to find the funds to complete the development they’ve started. The company plan on releasing the game on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
At the time of writing, there are 29 days to go for the Kickstarter campaign with £13,884 already pledged. With the first goal amount being £250,000 hopefully this is a good sign that it will meet its aims. Then stretch goals will of course be added to bring extra things to the game.
Rewards for backing Allison Road range from digital copies of the game to free t-shirts and physical copies of the game. Other interesting rewards include being able to be featured in the game though leaving voice messages or have your portrait featured in pictures on the walls in the game. At the top tier (£5,000 pledge) you’ll also be able to take part in the game’s launch at an isolated location where you’ll be able to have a unique “horror experience” and be one of the first to try out the game.
