Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Releasing Coming in Spring 2016 With PlayStation VR Support
According to a new announcement made by Koei Tecmo during the Tokyo Game Show, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will release in Spring 2016 in Japan. The game will support the newly named PlayStation VR.
For PlayStation 4, the game will release under the name of “Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune. Meanwhile, there is also a PlayStation Vita version of the game that will release under the name of “Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus.”
Koei Tecmo also announced the game’s roster during the Tokyo Game Show. The roster features Marie Rose, Honoka, Kasumi, Ayane, Kokoro, Nyotengu, Hitomi, Momiji and Helena.
While we do know that PlayStation VR is supported by Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune, we don’t know how exactly will the game support this device.
This game is among the first major titles to support PlayStation VR aka Project Morpheus. Unfortunately, this game is only being developed for the Japanese market and other Asian territories, according to Koei Tecmo. There is demand for the series in the west, so hopefully developers would consider releasing it in other regions as well.
As for PlayStation VR, it will be available next year with an estimated price of $400. That is as much as the PlayStation 4 console itself.
