New Images from Need for Speed Show Impressive Level of Car Detail
If there is one thing that we can be sure of with Need for Speed it is how beautiful the cars are. Looking at some new images revealed by Electronic Arts and Ghost Games you can’t help but be impressed.
Looking at the screenshots straight out of the game, running on the Frostbite 3 engine the incredible attention to detail shown is very impressive. We can’t be sure that they’ll look this good in the released game of course, but even with a decreased resolution and a few shortcuts in actual rendering of the graphics they will hopefully still show off the beauty of the cars.
With the delay of the PC version of the game to make sure the game lives up to the potential of the PC environment, this is where we may see more detail coming into the cars. It will be interesting just how good these cars will look on a PC that can handle the game running with all settings on full and at the highest resolution possible. That is where the game will truly shine, unless of course PC still get a shoddily put together console port.
Until we get to see the game on the PC though all eyes will be on Xbox One and Playstation 4 to see what the consoles can produce. While we know that they will be restricted to 30fps, there is still a focus on providing the best visual possible. Hopefully this will mean 1080p, but this has not been confirmed yet. In the end the games performance will take priority over the prettiness of the graphics.
If Ghost Games can provide the level of detail we have seen so far, I’m sure that will do fans of the Need for Speed franchise for now.
