Hideo Kojima Comments on the Ending of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been out for a few week, and one thing that people often complain about is the ending. Not what some expected, or wanted, it has become the subject of many discussions.
Now Hideo Kojima himself has commented on the ending, which may clarify a few things for people. It may also just raise them to ask more questions:

The tweet is a typical statement by Kojima and will cause many to rethink what they’ve seen. As I’ve not completed the game yet, and would rather not spoilt it for myself, I can’t really comment too much on it.
One thing is for sure though, Kojima’s comments are interesting when we know that there appears to have been a third chapter to the game, which would have been called Peace. This may have added to the game’s ending and giving a better conclusion to the events that take place with Snake. What we are left with instead, is the game as it is now.
Typical of the drama surrounding Metal Gear Solid 5, Hideo Kojima, and Konami it appears that the conspiracy theories will never end. While the game is easily a candidate for Game of the Year, we have an ending that is now shrouded in ambiguity because of the belief of many that it is unfinished. Once again, in this continuing drama, will we ever know the truth?
What are your thoughts on Kojima’s explanation of the ending? Do you think the missing chapter may have given a more satisfactory ending? Let us know below.
