In some interesting news for German fans of Fallout 4 it looks like the game will be fully dubbed on release. This was revealed by game site Gamestar, who reached out to Bethesda for confirmation.

This is good news for Fallout fans, especially as Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas were not originally dubbed on release. The fact that they will also get the game uncut should mean that fans in the country will be excited to get their hands on the game.

With the full dubbing into German, this is interesting when thinking about the announcement of just how much lines of speech has been included in the game. With over 111k lines in the game will they all be dubbed? I’m sure that will be a huge task. I’m sure we’ll hear more about that or maybe have that confirmed when the game is released. Comparisons between different versions will be sure to show that.

Also mentioned on the article where they reveal the German dubbing they also discuss the problems that were faced by Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas when released in Germany. This included not only the localisation issues but also the required censorship enforced on the game because of violent scenes. As Fallout 4 is uncut, this won’t be a problem, unless of course future DLC were to cause further issues.

I’m sure the German fans won’t be worrying about this though, all they need to focus on is the fact they are getting a localised version on the games release.
