Dark Souls 3 Utilizes YEBIS 2 Middleware To Greatly Enhance Post-Effects

Silicon Studio has announced that FromSoftware’s upcoming role-playing game Dark Souls 3 utilizes its post-effects middleware YEBIS 2.

The confirmation comes via official press release from Silicon Studio which reads that YEBIS 2 is known for various post-effects such as optical simulation of camera lenses, motion blur, bloom, depth of field, and more.

The press release goes on to read that that YEBIS 2 is greatly enhance post-effects in Dark Souls 3 in contrast to previous entries in the series.

Those of you who recently played FromSoftware’s Playstation 4 exclusive Bloodborne might have noticed YEBIS 2 in action as the game utilizes the said middleware.

The press release also had screenshots attached below as some examples to show the post-effects in Dark Souls 3:

Dark Souls 3 is scheduled to release on Mar. 24, 2016 in Japan – worldwide release date is not known as of this instant – on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
