Street Fighter V Gets New Middle Eastern Character, Rashid

By   /   Sep 11, 2015

Capcom has revealed a new Middle Eastern character for Street Fighter V, during a recent event held in Dubai. The character is named “Rashid” and looks pretty similar to Shaheen from Tekken 7.

One way or another, Namco’s decision to add a Middle Eastern character had something to do with Rashid’s arrival in SFV. It seems Capcom wants Street Fighter V to appeal to an even wider range of audience, a character which Middle Eastern fans can relate to will surely help in this regard.

News of Rashid’s arrival came via an off-screen gameplay, which can be seen above. Street Fighter V arrives in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
