The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s DLC Hearts of Stone Won’t Only Take Place in Oxenfurt

For those looking for some interesting news for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s upcoming expansion Hearts of Stone, Twitter may be the place to find it. We appear to have some confirmation that the action in the DLC won’t only take place in Oxenfurt.

Twitter user Filip Aleth tweeted this information about the expansion:

This translates to:

“to be sure, a heart of stone to not only take place in Oxenfurtu. Map expands slightly and adding it to a new location”

While it was not confirmed for Hearts of Stone we did know that the expansions would be bringing in new locations for the game, and this appears to confirm it. With new characters, as well as an old one returning there is plenty of leeway to move Geralt’s adventures in new directions and areas. This will particularly be needed for him to meet some of the promised creatures for the game.

As we also know there will be new Gwent cards to discover which we assume will also come from these new areas that will be promised. With the wording of Aleth’s tweet though don’t expect a huge expansion to the map, but more an extending of the area that Geralt can already explore. To see just how bigger the area is we’ll have to wait to see if this is revealed before the October 13 release.
