With the successful year that Bethesda is currently having, the company are now looking to 2016. Today they revealed the date and location of QuakeCon 2016.

Over the years QuakeCon it has been used by Bethesda and ID to reveal new games and give players the chance to take part in all kinds of events based upon the games they’ve released and continue to support.

Announcing QuakeCon 0216 on the Bethesda site they revealed that it will take place at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, on August 4 through to August 7. Speaking on Quakecon 2016, Tim Willits who opens up the show each year had this to say:

“The event is a true “grassroots” organization; founded by only a group of fans and volunteers 20 years ago,” Willits reminisces. “The event is still supported by fans of id Software/Bethesda and largely staffed by volunteers today. The event has grown and matured over the last 20 years but what has always remained the same is the spirit of community gaming; people coming together to play their favorite games with friends and family. I have had the privilege of attending every QuakeCon, and what I enjoy the most is seeing all the great people that make this such a wonderful event year after year.”

With more of a focus on the fans, Quakecon has become popular with gamers because of the way they’ve been welcomed. After Fallout 4 has released in November, Doom coming out Spring 2016, and E3 taking place weeks before the event, it will be interesting to see what Bethesda will have on show at the event.
