Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

MGS V: The Phantom Pain pre-load is now available in Australia, NA, and U.K on Playstation 4.

The size of the pre-load is about 27GB in addition to a 412MB update file. However, do note that some regions are only showing 4GB and the rest is downloaded in background.

According to Konami, the game is going to unlock exactly at 09:00 PM on Aug. 31, 2015. Even if you are not able to complete the download, the PS4 lets you play the game while it’s being downloaded so no problems there.

The pre-load on the Xbox One systems has been live for quite some time now, and it’s strange to see PS4 systems getting it so late.

Sadly, those who have pre-ordered the digital version on Steam will be disappointed to know that there is no pre-load option on Steam; may be to avoid pre-load getting leaked.

These days, a game’s pre-load files are uploaded on the different torrent websites following which a crack is released on the release day or after some time.

In related MGS V: The Phantom Pain news, you can check these unlock timings to get a better idea of when the game is going to unlock in your particular region. To find out more, head over to the post!

MGS V: The Phantom Pain is going to officially release tomorrow for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
