Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Steam Unlock Timings

By   /   1 year ago

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is hours away from release and it will hit current-gen, last-gen and PC. Users who preordered the game on Steam must be itching to get their hands on the game, so we have unlock timings for your game.

Here’s when you can jump into The Phantom Pain:

  • New York – Sept 1 – 00:00 AM
  • Central European Time – Sept 1 – 06:00 AM
  • United Arab Emirates – Sept 1 – 08:00 AM
  • Australia West – Sept 1 – 12:00 PM
  • United Kingdom – Sept 1 – 05:00 AM
  • California – Aug 31 – 21:00 PM

On a related note, if you ordered The Phantom Pain PC on disk, then you’ll still have to download the game from Steam. As it turns out, the disk contains the Steam installer that’ll apparently ask you to download the game from Steam.

I have never seen something like this and for a company already struggling with its image among consumers, this will surely not help matters in any way.

This is a complete waste of resources and not at all acceptable. I truly feel bad for those who ordered a disk and got a digital download instead. However, Konami is yet to clarify this and they sure will have to.
