Since April EA’s been selling preorders of Star Wars: Battlefront for the standard $59.99, but this week it received its first major discount to only $45 for the digital PC edition (basically the Origin key).
In fact, a whole slew of PC gaming pre-order titles are on sale after a new 25% off coupon code appeared at GMG earlier today.
The November 17 releasing Star Wars: Battlefront is just one of a few games dropping a healthy percentage this weekend with other notable titles including Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4, and Civilization: Beyond Earth – Rising Tide.
While PC digital games with pre-order discounts does happen occasionally – high-end AAA titles from EA rarely ever get this kind of treatment.
We wouldn’t be surprised if EA put the kibosh on a discount like this to keep the $59.99 list price steady across the board – so if by the time you’re reading this the coupon no longer works – you’ll know why.
Barring aforementioned early expiration, the set expired date for the coupon is on August 28th at 8 AM Pacific and hopefully will last its entire length on these titles.

Star Wars Battlefront comes with the “Battle of Jackku” DLC pack… Which actually will be made available to all Star Wars Battlefront players on December 8, but if you pre-order you’ll get access to the battle of Jackku on December 1 (a 7 day headstart).
Pre-ordering a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops III will get you access to the multiplayer beta which begins next week on August 26th for Xbox One & PC.
Looking at the calendar, that’s less than five days away and makes this weekends discount even more enticing.
