The Game Awards 2015 Confirmed for December

By   /   Aug 18, 2015

Do you remember last year’s Game Awards? The answer to that is probably not, but if I mentioned it was the one which was hosted by Geoff Keighley you may start remembering what it was.

While I’m not sure if the results of the show really matter, one thing you can be sure of is that there will be new game footage at the event. The successor to the Spike VGX Awards it proved to be more a more successful show, though admittedly that wasn’t hard to achieve.

With last year’s big winners being Destiny, Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo, as best developer of the year it will be interesting to see what the biggest winners of 2015 will be. With fans choosing the Most Anticipated Game to be The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, this should obviously be in the running.

On the run up to December when the Awards will be taking place, there are some big game releases coming. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be another game that will be a favourite for awards, as will some others. Will there be any surprises?

As the event also lets fans vote for some awards, it will be interesting to see if the same awards are still available. Will TotalBiscuit win Trending Gamer again this year? This one may prove a controversial category though with some of the recent scandals that gaming has gone through. It will be interesting to see what affect this will have on the awards.

As this is the second year of The Game Awards will the show be improved? I’m sure that there will be a move to show the best side of the gaming community, as well as advertise many of the games coming in 2016.
