Quantum Break: Gameplay Choices Will Change the Course of Show’s Plot

Quantum Break preorders

The upcoming Quantum Break is going to expand the concept of ‘choices in video games’ by mixing gamplay and digital live-action show in a single package with in-game choices and decisions directing the show.

There are a total of 5 chapters in Quantum Break with an episode of the show between each of the chapters. While the game is played from Jack’s perspective, the TV show is from the perspective of Paul Serene and his second in command Martin Hatch. Every player choice and decision will affect the show which in turn will affect the gameplay. In addition to this, each episode will have ‘branching junction moments’ which will alter the entire plot.

This is not all! There will be some cross-over scenes as well. Simply put, players will watch a scene from the show followed by playing the entire scene with Jack which will help create an interactive experience that Remedy is focusing on. Oh, and do not forget the game’s amazing cast including The Wire actor Lance Reddick, X-Men Shawn Ashmore, Lord of the Rings star Dominiac Monaghan, and Game of Thrones star Aidan Gillen.

All in all, Remedy is creating something extraordinary with Quantum Break and from what we have heard and saw; the studio is on the right track.

Quantum Break is scheduled to release on Apr. 5, 2016 exclusively for the Xbox One.
