Nintendo Wii U System Update 5.5.0 is Live, Changelog Inside

Nintendo has just released the latest firmware update to Nintendo Wii U titled System Update 5.5.0 and also shared the complete changelog for the patch.

Like most of the System Updates that Nintendo releases, this one doesn’t have a very lengthy (or clear) patch notes as well. However, the Nintendo of America support page has told us that they have finally rid the handheld of TVii.

Since they have put an end to the TVii service, the icon for TVii is going to e removed from your console when you download the update 5.5.0. Here are the changes that have been made:

Changes to the Wii U Menu and HOME Menu:
The Nintendo TVii icon has been removed from the Wii U Menu and HOME Menu. For more information regarding the end of this service, click here.

Improvements to system stability and usability:
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.

As far as the said improvements to stability etc. are concerned, this is a standard explanation that Nintendo provides every time they release an update for the Wii U or the 3DS.
