New Modes for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Revealed
Today, the Playstation Blog have revealed some interesting new modes for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection as well as a new story trailer. One difficulty mode will interest those looking to test their speed run abilities.
As well as featuring new trophies, the game will feature these three new game modes:
- Explorer Mode is an all-new mode for beginners where combat difficulty is reduced greatly.
- Speed Run Mode adds a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.
- Brutal Difficulty Mode is the ultimate challenge as the gameplay will be more punishing than Crushing Difficulty (unlocked after beating Crushing Difficulty in the same game)
Explorer Mode is obviously the one aimed at giving less of a challenge to the player. Speed Run Mode is more interesting though, especially with an eye for streamers.
Speed Runs have become popular with gamers, as it shows their skill and knowledge of the games. Streaming gameplay and posting their videos online as proof of the time taken to do a complete run through, an official timer will be a popular move as it works as further proof of their time. Being able to compare times with other players too will add to the challenge.
With other new features such as a Photo Mode that will allow players to show off the new improved graphics from the game there appears to be plenty to explore in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. An interesting addition on the blog is the fact that there will be 65 character skins available for Drake, including Doughnut Drake. These will be available for all three games.
