Attack on Titan First Details: Original Story, Action, PS4 is Lead Platform
Gamescom 2015 brought with it a number juicy announcements and one of them was about the new Attack on Titan game which is being developed for the three PlayStation platforms.
While you guys would have been excited about it if you like the dark fantasy manga, that bit of announcement did not bring forth a lot of details.
However, the developers have now talked about the game and provided us with the first details. So before you get any other ideas, this Attack on Titan title is an action game.
Managing director at Koei Tecmo, Hisashi Koinuma adds that it should be differentiated from a hunting game but it does revolve around being united with your companions as well as the sacrifice of your companions.
The developers are aiming to give you an environment where you can move around the world and actually understand the story instead of just being pushed to defeat the enemies for being the way to progress.
Moreover, the action elements of the game have been scrapped three times already as opposed to the story which has been going on pretty strong all this time.
As you would have guessed, the game is based on the original story that was written by Hajime Isayama himself. Not just that, Isayama also collaborated with the developers and offered some ideas that have been incorporated in the game.
Last but not the least, out of PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, the new Attack on Titan game is being developed considering PlayStation 4 as the lead platform.
Koei Tecmo wants to release it this winter.
