According to Director Hajime Tabata, Final Fantasy XV will ship with Japanese and English voice support only. However, developers do plan to add more text later on.

Tabata said that they would like to add more text after release or as DLC.

We are positively looking into the idea of expanding the voice support for the game after release or as DLC, also if we bring the game to other platforms in the future. We very much like expanding languages on that, as well

In his statement he talks about bringing the game to other platforms, probably to PC. But there is an “if” found in his comment. Still, we can file it under “hints” for now.

What gives more weight to Final Fantasy XV for PC rumor, is the fact that Square Enix recently brought Final Fantasy Type-0 HD to the platform.

Since then, rumor has it that Final Fantasy XV is planned for PC but Square Enix is yet to comment. Anyways, speaking about voices, Tabata mentions their focus on bringing voice support for French, German or other languages.

So when it comes to localization and our priorities, we think that before we want to introduce French, German or other languages’ voices, we want to expand the number of text-supported languages. Traditionally, Final Fantasy is only translated into Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Do you think Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy XV to PC? Or more interestingly, to NX?
