Martin Sahlin appeared on EA’s Gamescom 2015 Press Conference with another pre-alpha footage from the upcoming Unravel.

According to Sahlin, Unravel is all about using yarn and solving puzzles without ever running out of yarn which is scattered across the in-game world. The main character, Yarny, can use yarn to make bridges and more in order to solve puzzles and traverse environment.

There are multiple ways to solve different puzzles, depending upon players imagination and creativity. Visually, the game is as beautiful as ever! I absolutely adored the little things such as Yarny shaking its head after getting wet.

Unravel is scheduled to release on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC in the first quarter of next year.

While we are on the subject of Unravel, make sure to check out our exclusive interview with the studio. Oh, and I would love that Yarny figure as a pre-order bonus!

Martin Sahlin also announced that Unravel is available to play at the Gamescom 2015.

In addition to this, EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson also announced that FIFA 16, Need for Speed, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and 6 different game modes of Star Wars: Battlefront will be able playable throughout Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany.
