New Dark Souls 3 Artwork Shows off its Chilling Style

If there was one game that people wanted to see more of at Gamescom 2015 it has to be Dark Souls 3. In the latest trailer we finally got to see some gameplay and now with the release of some of the game artwork we see more of the games style.

With the return of Hidetaka Miyazaki as director of the game there are high expectations from the fans. It is clear that his return to Dark Souls is coming with a wealth of knowledge, but he is also bringing a darker style from Bloodborne too.

The enemies in the game are designed with an atmosphere of death around them, as we can see in these new images. While the creatures are skeletal in design, there is also a style to the game that focuses on the fact that they are designed with one thing in mind, and that is to kill. The backdrops to the battles are also epic in design too.

Dark Souls 3 has a style to it designed to make the player feel overwhelmed by the task ahead of them, which is what we come to expect from the game. As the player we aren’t given much chance to survive at all, in fact we’ll die many more times than we’ll survive and that is what the art of the game shows off so well.

With Miyazaki’s return there is a lot to prove with Dark Souls 3, it has to live up to the original game and fix the problems that the second one created. The fact that a trailer can create so much faith from the fans shows it is heading in the right direction.

What do you think of the new artwork? Does it impress you? Let us know your thoughts below.
