Bungie is Reworking Destiny’s Leveling System for The Taken King
Bungie has decided to do away with Light Leveling System in Destiny in favor of XP leveling system in Destiny The Taken King expansion.
Light Leveling System basically requires a character to equip armor having specific Light Level after Level 20 in order to hit level cap.
Announced in current month’s issue of game Informer, XP will be required to level up a character from scratch all the way to Level 40 – the new level cap. Speaking of this, Luke Smith of Bungie told Game Informer that the decision is made to grant players more control over their in-game characters:
The conflation of gear and character level led to this place where your identity was determined by things outside of your control.
This is not all! Bungie has also confirmed that none of the present Legendary Gear will be upgradeable in the second year because of a whole lot of new stuff Bungie is adding to Destiny The Taken King.
In parallel The Taken King and Bungie removing people/things news; Bungie has also decided to replace Peter Dinklage with Nolan North who will now become the voice of Ghost. To read up more, head over to the post!
Destiny The Taken King is scheduled to release on Sept. 15, 2015
