New Teaser for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Promises More to Come

Mirror's Edge Remastered

There is a good chance that we’ll be seeing some new footage from Mirror’s Edge Catalyst this week at GamesCom, but just to tease us we’ve had a little glimpse today. This video was posted on Twitter, and quite rightly has people excited:

The most noticeable thing is that the game is running at what looks to be 60 frames per second and we get a view of the city in which Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will take place, or at least part of it. We can expect to see more when EA hold their Gamescom Conference. This takes place 8:30AM in Germany August 5.

With a focus on the movement through the environments again and less on battle hopefully Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will focus on what the first game did best. There is a lot of expectations from fans on this eagerly awaited game and I’m sure EA want to deliver.

Even with a small teaser like this, it shows that EA are looking to deliver some teases to the fans and to make an impact at the event. With Xbox having a presence there but Playstation not revealing much this could be the event for companies like EA to steal the show, though Xbox do have big reveals planned. This teaser is a very good start at catching the interest of the gamers.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is aiming at a February 23, 2016 release on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.

What are your thoughts on the glimpse we’ve had of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst? Are you impressed with what you see? Let us know below.
