Don’t Expect Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix on PS4, Tetsuya Nomura
According to a Korean website Ruliweb; during an interview with the Kingdom Hearts director, Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that the remaster of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 isn’t happening on PS4.
While there are tons of remasters on PS4, so much that it’s being called a “remaster station”, KH fans will not be treated with the HD remix of their beloved games. Although Kingdom Hearts 3 was there, during E3 this year, we won’t be able to get our hands on it till 2017.
It’s a lot of waiting for true hardcore fans of the series but I think developers should rather work on new games than revamping the last gen titles, and personally I can wait till 2017 because a good AAA title takes minimum 4-5 years.
It’s good to hear that devs are focusing all their energy towards the new game. While remastering doesn’t require a whole lot of time and resources, it can slow down the new title.
Kingdom Hearts comes with a unique mix of Disney and final fantasy characters, it’s a story driven title with some RPG elements. The first title was released in 2001 and since then it has become a critically acclaimed series on PlayStation. The combat system is innovative, and voice overs have always been amazing.
With the computational and graphical power of PS4, we really do hope to play the latest Kingdom Hearts on 60 fps.
