Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is coming November 10 and now is the time when all of the retailers will be fighting for your pre-order already. Today Playstation Store have put up their Fallout 4 page for the digital release, with a perk you can download right now.

If you go to the Fallout 4 page on the store you can pre-order now and you’ll also get a free theme for your Playstation 4. This is a Garage Theme that the page states you can download after you have been through the checkout process and pre-ordered the game. Whether more incentives will be added closer to the release is yet to be seen.

For those who want to purchase the game in a physical form this may be where it gets much more interesting with companies like Amazon trying to get your attention. There are a variety of different editions available, though I think if you didn’t order the Pip-Boy Edition the only place you’ll get that is on a site like Ebay with an expensive price tag.

While Bethesda seem to be confident that Fallout 4 is going to be ready for the release, pre-ordering is still a questionable way to secure your copy of the game now. While we may want to start playing the game on day one, many releases tend to require at least one patch to get them working. Even worse, some don’t work at all.

I’m sure there will be plenty of people wanting to get their hands on Fallout 4 though, and it is fairly safe to assume this is one game that will be on many people’s pre-order list already. Is a free theme enough of an incentive for you to pre-order through the Playstation Store though? That in itself is questionable.

Will you be pre-ordering your copy of Fallout 4 through the Playstation Store? Let us know your thoughts below.
