Need for Speed Deluxe Edition to have BMW M3 E46 as Starter Car
With EA rebooting Need for Speed, we look to the past games to see what will be brought back with a revamped modern look. Today the company revealed a popular car will be returning, with a pre-order incentive.
For those who are a fan of the BMW M3 E46, you’ll be happy to know that the car will be a part of the game. Electronic Arts today have confirmed its inclusion and even provided a new image of it just to tease you with what’s come.
If you are buying the Deluxe Edition of the game, you’ll gain early access to the car and it will be ready and waiting for you when you step into your garage as your starter car for the game. Also, if you pre-order this edition you’ll also gain the Performance Pack and Styling Pack too.
The Styling Pack comes with exclusive Styling Sticker, Spoiler, Rims, and Splitter. The Performance Pack will include early access to the Performance Sticker, High Performance Turbocharger, Engine Block, and Exhaust.
Purchasing the Deluxe Edition will also grant access to exclusive wraps, unique identifying sticker and 10% discount on all items using in-game currency.
The use of wording such as “in-game currency” when talking about purchasing within games is always worrying as it hints at the potential for real money purchases. Hopefully this is only confirming that the discount is not available on DLC purchases, but I’m sure we’ll learn more about this closer to the game release.
Are you looking forward to having access to the BMW M3 E46? Is it worth getting the Need for Speed Deluxe Edition to make it your starter car? Let us know your thoughts below.
