DICE have been revealing information about the multiplayer power-ups in Star Wars Battlefront. These boosts will be available to be picked up around the battle map and allow players to spawn vehicles as well as use heroes or villains tokens in the battle.

Speaking to OXM, Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, the producer of the game revealed:

“The power-ups are basically what you pick up in the level, so they might be an especially powerful weapon – like the ability to call in a strike or an X-Wing, TIE Fighter or AT-AT – or a hero token, which would then spawn you as a villain or hero, depending on which faction you are playing.”

What stands out in this comment is the villain or hero power up which we saw in the footage shown at E3. While we did not see the actual power up being used, we did see the arrival of Darth Vader into the battle.

While this information about the power-ups has been revealed, we still don’t know just how easy these power-ups will be to obtain and used. They do appear to be created to make the Star Wars Battlefront multiplayer experience something that differs from the other Battlefront games.
