Kingdom Hearts 3 Basic Systems and Mechanics are Almost Complete, Nomura-san
Square Enix has confirmed that the basic systems and mechanics of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3 are almost complete.
While speaking to OPM UK, Tetsuya Nomura-san said that the game’s basic gameplay systems are almost completed and the development has now shifted to mass production of the areas and building the resources:
For the most part we’ve established the ground foundations, like the basic systems and mechanics of what’s going to go in the game. Development of that is pretty much close to complete. But of course, since this is an HD title, it’s now building the resources, and development of the ‘mass’ elements of it, like mass production of the areas and the actual things that are going into the game.
Continuing he said that progress of elements such as mini-games and other smaller items is varied at the moment. While some items are being polished and are near to completion, certain are still in the planning phases:

But the basic structure of what’s going to go in the game is set; it’s now a matter of mass production of the different elements.
Announced at E3 2015, Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently in development for Playstation 4 and Xbox One – there is no concrete release date available as of this instant.
