Palutena Amiibo is an Amazon Exclusive in America, Will Release on July 24

For fans of Nintendo’s Amiibos, hunting down the rare character figures and searching out were the latest will be sold is getting to be quite a task. With the release of Wave 5 one character has been confirmed as an Amazon exclusive (for America) and this is the Palutena Amiibo.

The American Amazon has confirmed the character as an exclusive to the web based retail company, which will be releasing the figure July 24, 2015.

The character from the Kid Icarus series of games is the goddess of light and ruler of Skyworld. Watching over Pit as he does battle, she sends telepathic messages to the character using her powers to help him in his mission.

The Amiibo will interact with Wii U and Nintendo 3DS XL systems and can be used in games such as Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors and more to aid the player in their gameplay. Players can level up their characters to make them even more powerful.

While designed to be a part of the gaming experience the characters are also collectible, with some characters becoming harder to find. When companies like Amazon get exclusives this is quite a coup for them, especially with popular figures that people will rush to buy.

It will be interesting as more waves of Amiibo are released which retailers are given the best exclusives and just how well they sell. With Amazon being one of the biggest companies to score exclusives like Paluntena they are more than likely to look to corner the market by claiming even more.
