Metal Gear Online to Include Custom Characters, Fan Favorite Maps, and More
Courtesy of a recent Metal Gear Online official Q&A session with fans, we now have some new information related to the dedicated Online Mode in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
First of all, you will be able to create-a-character and name him or her – similar to MGO-2 – in addition to unique heroes, but more details on it will be shared later. Among these unique heroes, Snake and Ocelot have already been confirmed, but we still have no news whether Raider will make an appearance or not? Moreover, Konami has also reassured fans that the company has been listening to map suggestions, but it takes a while to implement all the additions.
Following a lack of information – specifically a new trailer or footage – had fans worried about the development of the multiplayer component, but Konami has reassured the Metal Gear Online is in full production and more will be shared soon, though we did not receive a concrete timeline.
Speaking of transferring Ground Zeroes data from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and Playstation 3 to Playstation 4, Konami stated that it will be allowed, but the game will not be cross-platform.
Lastly, it has been confirmed that the 30K followers giveaway is still going to happen, but it is not confirmed whether the studio will make an appearance at this year’s GameScom next month in August.
