Batman Arkham Knight Getting 1989 Batman Movie DLC in August
With the release of Batgirl A Matter of Family, the first story driven DLC to console versions of Batman Arkham Knight, today is a big day for fans of the game. Unless you are an owner of the PC version then you are still waiting to find out when the game will be patched and actually be working.
Along with the news that the downloadable content is available to players, Warner Brothers also decided to reveal what would be coming to the game in August for Season Pass owners:
- 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack: Battle through the streets of Gotham City with this pack that includes the Batman skin and Batmobile from the 1989 Batman film, as well as two tracks inspired by the film’s sequel.
- The Bat-family Skins Pack: Included in this pack are six character skins based on the alternate timelines – – 1990s Catwoman, One Year Later Robin, Arkham Origins Batman, Iconic Grey & Black Batman, 1970s Batman and the Original Arkham Nightwing.
While the “Bat-family” Skins Pack is interesting with new looks for Catwoman, Robin, Batman and Nightwing the one that has caught most people’s interest is the 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack. With a design for the batmobile that is by many seen as better looking than the one we see in the game.
Along with the Michael Keaton Batman suit and Batmobile, the pack also comes with tracks inspired by the film’s sequel Batman Returns. I’d not be surprised to see a few penguins hiding out around those tracks, though I doubt we’ll see Cobblepot in his big Rubber Duck car that featured in the film.
