Fallout-4

We know that Fallout 4 takes place in Boston, Massachusetts and have seen some famous landmarks such as Bunker Hill Monument, Paul Revere Monument, and the USS Constitution. The one landmark, however, that we did not see is The Institute or commonly referred to as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Fallout fans might know that The Institute has been referenced in earlier instalments and once housed Mr. House – the antagonist of Fallout: New Vegas.

Those who played Fallout 3 might remember The Replicated Man mission. The Replicated Man revolves around an NPC named Dr. Zimmer from The Institute and his search of the Capitol Wasteland in order to find an escaped android called Harkness.

The Institute possesses high-end tech to produce human-like androids such as Harkness who are bound to serve for life, but some develop a conscious and escape and are hunted by the Synth Retention Bureau.

The Replicated Man is homage to Blade Runner in which escaped androids are hunted down by specialized police forces who also include some androids – similar to the Synth Retention Bureau.

The Railroad is another secret organization which opposes the Synth Retention Bureau and The Institute and provides the androids a chance to start over and lead a life free of servitude.

The Replicated Man concludes once you decide to side either with The Railroad or The Institute.

Since Fallout 4 happens in Boston; there is a slight possibility that we will see some of The Institute, The Railroad, and the conflict between humans and androids.

We are sure to find out more when Fallout 4 launches on Nov. 10, 2015 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
