New Xbox One July Update Preps It For Game Streaming On Windows 10

A new Xbox One update is now available to download, the new update will prepare the console for game streaming on Windows 10.

The streaming feature will go public with the release of Window 10 on July 29. According to a post on Major Nelson’s blog.

This update prepares for game streaming to Windows 10 (launching July 29th) and our upcoming Backward Compatibility feature launching in a few months. There are no new user-facing features in this release as the team focuses on the New Xbox One Experience that will be available later this year.

The streaming feature for now, is only available in the preview program. Needless to say, users will require the preview build of Windows 10, if they wish to use the feature before the release of the new OS. Moreover, you will need an invite to the preview program.
