Zero Escape 3 is official now and it is being developed by Aksys Games for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, aas detailed by the developers couple of hours ago at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

The press release announcing the game has to be one of the most interesting ones that I have read today. Aksys Games revealed the handheld title in the form of an apocalyptic event with “horrific consequences” that the gamers need to know about.

So the game is going to hit PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop in the summers of 2016:

An antidote for the game is predicted to be created, but much further down this timeline, and as such there is no defense from its effects. It will be most easily identifiable on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system, though it is transmittable through the air so the spread may increase even more rapidly through the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.

Following the same tone, developers also talked a little about what features you can expect from Zero Escape 3. We have got multiple endings and multi-lingual variants confirmed alongside some in depth puzzles that will be pivotal in the game:

Do not be tempted by familiar faces, fully voiced cinematics, multiple endings, or voices in both Japanese and English, as those are signs that the apocalypse is nigh. We suggest that you put extensive effort into improving your puzzle solving skills, as they will be vital to your survival.
