Japan’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Special Edition has Impressive Extras
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the biggest games of the year and could be the end of an era when it comes to the relationship between Konami and Hideo Kojima, so the release is going to be something special.
Looking at a special edition revealed shown on NeoGaf, it shows just how special.
Featuring a 50 page art book, a Making Of Blu-ray disc which includes interview, trailers and footage from the game; a map of the Northern Kabul area and of course the game itself make this an impressive edition. In the images and video the game included is the Playstation 4 version.
The concept art that is included in the art book will be from Yogi Shinkawa and the examples shown on Neogaf show concept art for Punished Snake, Quiet, an ST-84 and a hospital ward. Along with with the book and Blu-ray disc there will be in-game content including weapons, gear and skins.
As of this time it appears that this will be a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain special edition for Japan exclusive; there is no mention where else it may appear. I’m sure there will be fans from around the world who will be interested in getting their hands on this one.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is coming to Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 September 1, with the PC version coming September 15.
